Amandha Vollmer (ADV) shares her experience of having a heightened sense of smell and a sensitivity to chemical scents. She has always had a preference for the natural world and avoids synthetic products. She recounts her discomfort when around others using chemically scented products, which adversely affected her health and sense of smell. Consequently, Amandha found it challenging to be around people who used synthetically scented products.
Her sense of smell, always acute, became even more pronounced following her pregnancy. Amandha describes how her life in the city was surrounded by people using chemical scented products, which was a primary factor in her decision to move to the countryside.
She points out that household items like laundry detergent are laden with chemicals and toxins. Amandha observes that most people are not aware of the dangers posed by chemical products, many of which undergo minimal or no regulation and contain harmful, untested, and dangerous chemicals.
