If you want to solve a health problem, the first step is to change the framework through which you interpret symptoms and disease. The terrain model shown throughout this mini library sets aside the false germ theory and the conventional idea of an independent immune system that wages war against invading organisms.
Your body has a cleansing network. It does not have an “immune system.” This network includes your gut, liver, kidneys, bowels, lungs, skin, lymphatic vessels, connective tissues, blood, mucous membranes, and tissue repair mechanisms. These systems are always on, constantly identifying damaged material, breaking/denaturing it down, transporting it, and preparing it for elimination.
Once we are aware that germs are not the cause of disease, but instead the consequence, we can better identify the root cause, which is always one or any combo of the following: toxicity/poisoning, nutritional insufficiency, stagnation/blockage. Bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms like parasites are the clean-up crew. They respond to the signals the terrain offers to them on how to proceed. The type and level of activity depend on the pH signal and the amounts of dead, dying, or damaged material requiring breakdown.
Parasites and microorganisms occupy an ecological role. Certainly, their activity can become excessive, irritating, or destructive when the terrain is heavily burdened; their presence indicates a need by the body. They aren’t attacking you.
Symptoms mean your body is trying to heal. Inflammation, mucus, fever, swelling, diarrhoea, coughing, skin eruptions, and fatigue are expressions of HEALING. That means there is activity: tissue repair, mobilisation of blood, and elimination.
Once we toss out the false germ theory and the fact that no virus exists or has ever been isolated, our differential diagnosis becomes clearer, and we can use accurate protocols.

When you are doing a nutritional assessment, make sure that vitamins and minerals are evaluated in relation to one another. For example, excess zinc can reduce copper absorption. Magnesium depletion can make potassium difficult to restore. Iron deficiency increases lead absorption. Toxic metals can displace or interfere with essential minerals. Vitamin D needs K2 for shuttling calcium.

This applies to all yeasts (mentioned again at the end). Candida steps in to try and do the job the bacteria were doing after broad antibiotics altered the intestinal terrain. Candida also helps to rid the body of mercury, cadmium, lead, arsenic, and other toxic metals. Candida cells bind and sequester metal ions through their cell walls and internal detoxification systems, helping to immobilise them and alter their biological availability. Metals are elemental substances and cannot literally be broken down, although yeast can capture, concentrate, and transform them into different chemical forms. The strategy is to restore microbial diversity, replenish nutrients and minerals, support elimination, and carefully reduce the underlying metal burden.
